Ballet:
This class teaches the student to combine proper body alignment and placement, with transitions through standard arm, leg and feet positions and an elegant sense of timing. This class is designed to develop skills in classical ballet. |

Tap:
Tap is a type of dance where rhythmic sounds are created by the feet. The students will be required to have the appropriate tap shoes for this class. Beginning students will learn the basic steps of classical and street tap. Advanced students will learn how to hear different rhythms in different styles of music and recreate those rhythms using technical tap steps taught in previous classes. |

Jazz:
Jazz is a free style form of dance that emphasizes precision, freedom, and high intensity of movement. Students will also be introduced to various styles of modern, lyrical and hip-hop dance. |

Clogging:
Clogging is an American folk dance with its roots in African, Irish, English, and Native dance styles. Emphasis will be on the downbeat, loose upper body movements and simple rhythmic patterns. |

| |
There are no prerequisites but Ballet is strongly encouraged for all dance classes. |
